This is the third year in a row that I've vlogged my time at the Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off and the second time I've done so with my cousin Noah. This was definitely one of the best years yet with many more balloons in special shapes at one time than I've seen in any of the previous 11 years that I've gone.

This was the second year in a row that I was able to attend the Christian Worldview Film Festival, but this time it was held in Franklin, TN instead of San Antonio, TX. One of the main reasons I went was because the production company S.C. Treehouse was holding an event directly following the festival where I announced a new TV show that I am collaborating with them on called Literal. In this episode, my mom and I travel to Franklin and attend the first day of the Filmmakers Guild. There may or may not be some geocaching involved as well. ;) Shoutout to Christian (you can see his back at 2:32) whom we had a great conversation with while flying to Nashville! Also, shoutout to Semenye (the girl on the right of the video thumbnail) who is currently the only person to recognize me from my vlogs. xD In the final episode of my series of adventures at the 2017 Lamplighter Guild, I show the closing ceremony and my trip back home, complete with strange noises from the jet engine on my last airplane. It was really sad to leave all of my new friends and return to normal life... I hope this edit carries across some of how I felt during those two final days. Although sad, this my favorite episode of the series. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I hope you enjoy it too. (click Read More to read my more-in-depth written account of the story)
In honor if the 2018 Lamplighter Guild that will be happening at the end of this month, I wanted to release my vlog series from the 2017 Guild as a look back at the memories we made last year. This series has taken me ages to complete, so I hope you enjoy it! Click below to get the full story. ;)
This year I had the incredible opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon on Labor Day Weekend for the second year in a row! Last year my dad and I flew in a commercial balloon (I filmed the experience as one of my first vlogs) but this year a friend of mine hooked me up with a couple tickets for my cousin and I to ride in a smaller private balloon. It was a very different experience as it was only the two of us and our pilot and since the basket was so small you could feel every little movement. After our flight, my family and I headed to Gold Camp Road where we flew the drone and ate a picnic lunch. The next day we headed back to the Labor Day Lift Off to see the balloons inflate. On Labor Day of 2016, my dad and I went to the Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off (previously balloon classic) as we have for the last 9 years or so. But this time, we decided to spice it up a little and actually fly in one instead of just watching them. We woke up around 4:20 and this video tells the story of the trip. |
