Back in April we took a quick visit to Garden of the Gods (or what I like to call Garden of the God - singular because there's only one) and I decided to vlog it. The purpose of the visit was to do some location scouting for a future short film I want to release over on Luchnia Productions. We ended up taking a very long walk through the park and as a result I got some pretty nice footage from it. :) Enjoy!

One day I decided to hop on my bike for a quick ride and take my camera along with me so I could test out a new wind muff for my RODE Videomic Pro. :) This was more of an experiment than anything else so I apologize for the shake and over-biased audio at times, but I hope you still enjoy it. :) This was actually recorded on April 12th, 2017. That's why all the grass still looks brown. We were basically still in winter. There are several reasons I didn't release it sooner. The first is that I wanted to have the channel trailer for this channel finished first. That meant waiting until after high school graduation in May. The second was actually getting time to edit it which I only just got to. xD xP Anyway, better late than never, right? After the fun of vlogging the Christian Worldview Film Festival this year, I've decided to vlog more regularly including for a large trip I'll be taking next month. I wanted to have a separate place to put vlogs outside of the Luchnia Productions YouTube channel which is my professional portfolio, so I've decided to make a separate dedicated vlog channel for that. All of those videos will still be posted on this page, but will actually be located on that channel from now on (other than possibly the exception of BTS vlogs of my short films which might be going on the main channel). Here's the channel trailer that gives you a taste of what you should expect to see on that channel! If you don't want to miss any of my upcoming projects, go subscribe to JRM Vlogs now! There's also a dedicated Facebook page for it which I encourage you to like so you can keep up to date with all the latest news. To see an explanation about the vlog channel that I posted on the main channel, click read more. ;)
Today was the day we got home after being gone for 11 days total. While it's always nice to be home, it's also sad because I really did enjoy our trip. At least I have this vlog series to look back on to remember it though. :) Today was the first leg of the journey home. :( Sad that we had to leave, but I got some very pretty footage out of it. :) Hope you enjoy. Today was the last actual day at the festival. :( I was very sad to see it end. Most of the footage in this vlog was from the award ceremony that evening. Today was primarily a film showing day so I didn't get a whole lot of footage other than from one or two sessions. This breaks the record for the shortest vlog installment yet. xD Today the festival didn't start til 1 PM so we took a tour of the Alamo in the morning. :) No footage from the festival itself this time, but hopefully the Alamo will make up for it. Today was just another great day of going to classes, meeting people, and hearing fantastic teachings and lectures on not only the craft of filmmaking but also how God fits into it. Today was the first day that we were able to attend the festival. One day late, but better that than not at all. We got the full recording set of the whole week so I won't miss anything. :) This morning we also sent my mom and sister off to visit some friends up north. |
